Bari san is weigh 150 kilograms and Bari san is very big. Also, Bari san very cute:) The other day, I watched Gachikase with my family so Bari san and Kumamon sumo wrestle! Chapter 1 Top dog

 I'm writing about Chapter 1. First, sprite was on his way to a dog show at the local park. I'm sure we'll win first prize, said Sprite's owner, Nick. Nick went into the pet store next to the park. Sprite waited quietly outside then sprite felt a sudden pain. A man had stepped on his paw. He was scruffy and very smelly. After that Nick and Sprite went to dog show. Sprite met many dogs so he made a many friends. So, let's start dog show!! One by one, the judged examined the dogs. They stroked their coats. Looked in their ears, tapped their teeth and peered at their paws. But, Sprite entangled examination! Then a woman tutted, That smelly man made my paw dirty! The final test was the obstacle course. The dogs had one minute to get around. Sprite tried. But his sore paw made him forgot his training. When dog show finished, The cup's gone! So, I have a favorite pages! My favorite pages are Sprite suddenly got a whiff of a smell he knew. It came from one of the judges! He's not judged, realized Sprite. He's the man who stepped on my paw. Sprite grabbed the man's leg. So, Sprite arrested man! Sprite well done!

 Chapter 2 Titch to the rescue

 I'm writing about Chapter 2 First, There was short dog. The dog name is Titch. He wanted to be a top sheepdog like Bryn, his dad.Bryn had won lots of medals but when Titch tried to round up sheep, things always went wrong. First, he could not get them out of their pen. Then they would not go through the gate in the fence. One sheep always managed to escape, the others would not stand still and he took ages to get them back in their pen. So, he though that I can't do anything right. One evening, Owen the shepherd took Titch and Bryn for a walk. Just then, a thick fog began to float around them. Quickly boys! said Owen. He and Bryn ran ahead. Titch lost sight of them. Titch heard a shout and a yelp. His dad and Owen were in trouble. It was coming from a deep, dark hole in the ground. So, Titch called help people then Titch went to Mr, Ellis was in the farmyard. After that, Titch helped Bryn and Owen. I like his brave very much!

 Chapter 3 Trouble at Tike's

I'm writing about Chapter 3 . First, There was old man. He name is Tike. Tike could not afford to repair his dog's home. So, he was selling the creaking old building, along with dog. I’m writing about Animals in Danger. I read Animals in Danger so I’m interested in Animals in Danger. Think of world without animals. No parrots fly in the sky; no dolphins swim in the sea; no tigers walk quietly through the tree. Nobody wants a would like this, because a world without animals is not an interesting, exciting, or beautiful place. But the biggest danger to animals is people. Thousands of species of animal are in danger, because people are making a dirty and dangerous world. Are our children going to see tigers, and dolphins, and parrots or only photos and films of these animals?

Chapter 1 Why are animals in danger?

 First, I didn’t know about in 1900 there were 100,000 tigers in the world. Now there are about 6,000. In India, there were about 30,000 tigers, and the number is now 2,000. Also, I didn’t know about the tigers is the biggest animal in the cat family Siberian tigers are sometimes 320 kilograms. They need trees, water, and other animals for food. They usually move about by day, and they go a very long way when they are hunting.

 Chapter 2 The effect of humans

  I’m writing about Chapter 2. First, I know Dodo. Dodo endangered species so dodo was said could not fly bird. And some of them hunted dodos not for food, but because they liked hunting. By about 1680, the last dodo was dead. This happened a long time ago, but we cannot forget the dodo and we are never going to see a dodo alive again.

 Chapter 3 Animals matter

 I’m writing about Chapter 3. First, I did not know in 1996, we knew of 5000 animal species in danger of extinction. Today, 7000 animal species are in danger. Perhaps of animal are at risk. Then, I know that Edward Jenner giving the smallpox vaccine. Animals also help us in many important ways. We drink their milk and eat their meat. We make clothes from their skins and stay warm in winter. When scientists learn about animals, they understand people better too. With the help of animals, alive and dead, scientists can help ill people. Many years ago, people were afraid of smallpox.

 Chapter 4 On Land

 I’m writing about Chapter 4. First, To many people, the most interesting animals are the big land animals. We see these big animals on television and in zoos. We take photographs of them, and we are interested in their behavior. But we do not always understand the dangers to them in their natural habitats. Tapirs are perhaps not the most beautiful animals in the world. They live on land, near water and trees. They are very quiet. They often move at night, but they cannot go far. Mothers carry their babies for a year before they are born. Then, the babies need their mother’s milk for a year after that.

 Chapter 5 In the water

 I’m writing about Chapter 5. First, when I read Chapter 5, I proposal dolphin. I like dolphin very much because dolphin is very smart and cute. So, I want to swim with dolphin someday! Anyway, I’m writing about Chapter 5 impression. I did not know that some dolphins live in river and some live in the sea. The Yangtze(Chang Jiang) River runs across China from west to east. In 1950s there were 6000 baiji dolphins in the river. Baiji dolphins can usually hear very well and they talk to other dolphins. In past times they heard small ships on the river and went under them. But now there are many big ships in the river, and there is a lot of other noise too, so the baijis hit their heads on the big ships. Pollution from towns and factories goes in to the river too, and the baiji cannot see well in the dirty water. When the Chinese built the big Three Gorges Dam across the river, the dolphins’ habitat changed again. So, I saw The Three Gorge Dam. It was very dirty and I think that don’t built The Three Gorge Dam. There are also dolphins in nearly all our seas. They move fast in the water and they play People in some countries eat the meat of sea dolphins. Hundreds of thousands of these animals die every year when people fish at sea with nets. And when we take all the fish from the sea, we also take the dolphins’ food.

 Chapter 6 In the sky

 I’m writing about Chapter 6. First, I didn’t know that there are 9000 different species of birds. Many of them are not in danger anymore because they are extinct. But a thousand species of bird are at risk today. So, when I read 21 pages then I’m interested in Kakapo. I looked up Kakapo. Kakapo is parrot. Kakapo also have the name Old Night Birds because Kakapo move at night. Kakapo is green and yellow, big and fat. The biggest birds are four kilograms. In a quiet place, kakapo can live for sixty years. Kakapo cannot many babies. Kakapos also leave their babies for hours at night, without protection. They are different from most birds because they cannot fly.

 Chapter 7 What can countries do?

 I’m writing about Chapter 7. First, I think that we should think about animals in danger. Especially, I was surprised 26 pages and 27 pages because I did not know that in 1969, the people of Costa Rica began to protect their land. There are now 160 different places for the protection of animals, birds, and trees 27 per cent of the country. Thirty two of these places are national parks. Some of the animals there are now extinct in other Central American countries. These places also help the people of Costa Rica because a lot of tourists come from other countries. The visitors want to walk through the tree. They want to see the animals and birds in their natural habitat. Their money helps hotels, shops and the workers in the national parks.

 Chapter 8 What can we do?

 I’m writing about Chapter 8. First, I think that you should interest in animals in danger also when I was high school student I wrote about animals in danger a short article. But, I forgot contents a short article. Then, I have impressed pages. The part is 30 pages.

 Chapter 9 What can zoos do?

 I’m writing about Chapter 9. First, I didn’t know that sometimes a zoo is the only place for animals in danger. They can live there without danger and scientists can learn about them. Young animals are born in the zoo and one day, perhaps, they can go back to their natural home.

 Chapter 10 New animals

 I’m writing about Chapter 10. So, I’m interested in new animals because new animals very unique and cute. Also, I like golden hamster! Golden hamster very cute and fluffy!

After that, I went to Kumamoto city with my friend then we ate lunch in Ueda Ani no Chinese meat dumpling. We ate Tai pi en so it was very good. Then, we met Ueda Ani. It was very surprised and I talked him! I talked about combative sport with him. And, I went to game center with my friend so we took prikura. After that, we went Karaoke. I sang many songs. I like singing very much because to sing a song makes me happy☆

 For example, I sang Every Little Thing, Momoe Yamaguchi, Superfly, Kana Nishino, Boa, MISIA, Kou Shibasaki, Che' Nelle, Sayuri Ishikawa, Fuyumi Sakamoto and so on. I wanted to sing more!! After that, I went to tailor's shop. I bought clothes☆I like it very much!!

 Sunday was very busy day because I cleaned my grandmother's house with my mother and aunt. My grandmother's house was just like garbage house. My mother and aunt were amazed and they were breathe a sigh. My mother cleaned in refrigerator and she separated incombustible garbage and combustible garbage.  I'm writing about yesterday's news. First, there was only one limit. Lucky day! So, I was stick it out! After that I came back home then I went to hospital with my father. And, we went out hospital then we went secondhand clothes. I bought overcoat also very cheap! My father did not bought clothes. Haha! When we came back home, I cooked dinner. My mother worked overtime. I cooked healthy foods. I't a good cooking, even it I do say so myself☆My father and younger sister said to me, Very good!!You did it!Thank you.

Today was very cold also it is beginning to feel like winter. And it's unbearably cold, I don't like winter. Anyway, today I went to hospital with my father again but I went to school! I attended a class! Then, today class happy because I have favorite class. Culture anthropology!! I leaned about Natural laws sect. I forgot to say, I must write report. Second, when I talked with my friends, my cellular phone called by my father. My father said to me, please come back home! Grandmother has not been herself!  I’m writing about Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I know Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has been around since the thirteenth century and was told by storytellers all over Europe. This version is based on the retelling by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, two brothers who lived in Germany in the early 1800s. First, in a word it was very interesting and Snow White very beauty and Seven Dwarfs are cute too. But, I know Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs story was different a little.

 Chapter 1 As white as snow

 I’m writing about Chapter 1. First, my favorite parts 3～5 pages because these pages very heartwarming. So, I don’t like bad queen because she is very selfish and I feel angry!

 Chapter 2 A deadly plan

 I’m writing about Chapter 2. First, my favorite part is 12 pages because Snow White chatted happily as they went into the forest. The huntsman didn’t say a word. Under a giant oak tree, he took out a knife and pulled her from her house.

 Chapter 3 Deep in the forest

 I’m writing about Chapter 3. First, Snow White ran, past twisty trees and scratchy brambles. Soon, her black hair was tangled with leaves. Then, my favorite pages are 20～21 pages because The seven dwarfs appeared so they opened and trooped in. So, they lit a candle and looked around in surprise. Next morning, Snow White was woken by seven songs sung very badly. She jumped out of bed in a panic but the dwarfs were so friendly, she forgot to be afraid.

 Chapter 4 Pretty silks to sell

 I’m writing about Chapter 4. First, the bad queen was smiling at her reflection, she asked her usual question. “Mirror, mirror on the fairest of us all?” I think that she is narcissist and she is too self -conscious. Then, she was jealous of Snow White for good looks. I think it is better to fight than to compete in the appearance on the inner surface is a good. So, the bad queen was trap by Snow White then bad queen transformed old woman. The bad queen looped the belt around Snow White’s waist and pulled it tight… tighter and tighter. The old woman kept pulling until Snow White collapsed. After that, Snow White was helped by seven dwarfs.

 The next day, the bad queen was back at the cottage with a poisoned comb. Snow White was entranced. Forgetting her promise, she opened the door. Quicker than a bee, the bad queen darted inside and stuck the comb in Snow White’s hair. The poison worked at once and she fell to the floor. As soon as the one dwarf saw Snow White, he knew the Queen had returned. I think that Snow White must be more careful!

 Chapter 5 The magic apple

 I’m writing about Chapter 5. First, the bad queen is very persistent then she heart was eaten up with envy. She hated being the second fairest. Angrily, she set to work on her worst spell yet. In a secret room, she made a magic apple. It looked so delicious, whoever saw would have to eat it. But she dipped one half in poison. Then she dressed up as a farmer’s wife and went to the cottage once more. So, Snow White ate magic apple so she sprawled on the floor. The bad queen is very bad!!

 Chapter 6 A prince rides by

 I’m writing about Chapter 6. First, Snow White sprawled on the floor but seven dwarfs could not help her. So, my favorite pages are 43 pages and 46 pages. Because 43 pages the prince found Snow White so he loved at first sight with Snow White. Next, 46 pages the prince was overjoyed. He flung open the coffin, swept her up and carried her to his horse. Snow White said “Where am I? Who are you? Prince said “I’m a prince who wants to marry you! Then, the bad queen broke her mirror. I think that it serves you right!!

 Finally, I’m writing about impression again. So, when I was young I watched Snow White in Disney but yesterday I read Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It was different a little. Snow White ate only apple so Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs looped the belt by bad queen. And the bad queen made poisoned comb also made a magic apple. Then, Snow White in Disney, There was Snow White was kissed by prince but Snow White and Seven Dwarfs did not kiss. I think that Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is original work. Tuesday

 Today was happy day because there was my favorite subject. My favorite subject is Interpretation. I studied Sight Translation. Sight Translation is very difficult but it was interesting for me. Afterward, I will review interpretation.

Language and Culture

 When I first came to Japan, many years ago, I took a train from New York to San Francisco, and a freighter from San Francisco to Yokohama. The train trip alone took about four days, and after boarding the freighter, it was another two weeks before I finally sailed into Yokohama Harbor. During that long trip it had become very clear to me that Japan and American were indeed very far apart.

 But times have changed. During the past twelve months alone. I have made four trips to Japan from New York. With only a little preparation, I board a jet in New York, and in just fifteen hours, I am in Tokyo. Given this amazing change/ I have now come to fell that Japan and America are really very close. 

 But that is a matter of transportation. We must now work to make other kinds of exchange equally close. How wonderful it would be if our ability to communicate could improve as much as the difference between days and fifteen hours!

 Whether we are speaking or writing or listening or reading, we depend on language to communicate across cultures. The problem is that every language is unique and transferring from one languages to another is very difficult.

 When studying a foreign language students often make the mistake of thinking only about vocabulary and grammar. They think that if they memorize word lists and grammar rules, they can speak and write a foreign languages by translating from their native language.

 Unfortunately this does not work! Every language is interwoven with the culture within which it is used. Just as every language is unique, very culture is also unique. Japanese cannot learn to speak and write natural English simply by translating from the Japanese language, and Americas cannot learn to speak and write natural Japanese by translating from English. One of the most interesting contrasts between Japanese and American culture is the differing attitude toward foreigners. This contrast has a direct influence on language use.

 So, when I translated Language and Culture, I was at a loss a little then. Thank you for reading.

Cleaning

Today, I cleaned in my grandmother's house with my mother. Yesterday, my grandmother felt sick so she was taken in an ambulance. In the morning, the name of a disease is Cholecystitis. I didn't know this disease but I know gallstone. I want to heal faster. Anyway, I cleaned kitchen and washroom then my mother cleaned closet. So, she sorted empty can, empty bottle and plastic bottle. When I finished dish washing, I helped her. I think that separate collection of very interesting. Originally, I like cleaning very much.  Monday

 Monday was very cold day. I wrote report with my friends then it was very hard:( After that, we went student's dining hall so we ate lunch. Then, we took Judy's seminar with my friends so I made exchange students. 

Tuesday

 Tuesday was happy day:) I took interpretation and linguistics. I like interpretation very much but it was difficult for me. Linguistics is difficult a little but I'll do my best. After that, I stopped at book store. I looked for interesting book but I did not find. 

 Wednesday

 Wednesday was happy day too. Because there was only one limit. Happy!! I took writing Ⅳ. Last year, I did not like Writing Ⅳ because I did not do homework. This year, I became like Writing Ⅳ very much. I'll do my best:)

 Thursday was happy day too. Because I have favorite subject in Thursday. My favorite subject is culture anthropology. Culture Anthropology is very interesting for me. I studied about Oumu truth protest. I don't like Oumu truth protest. When I was high school student, I went home then a two men came around soliciting religious order. So, I commented two men then a two men ran away. It serves you right!! Anyway, I watched about Oumu truth protest. It was very bad.

Twilight

 I'm writing about Twilight. First, I knew this title but I haven’t ever watched it. Last Friday, I watched Twilight with my younger sister. I think that the Twilight movie is for girls but two of the main characters are very beautiful, as the actors did not come.Then, I think that when I was high school student, I watched “Devil in love”～Vampire boy～(Koishite Akuma Vampire Boy) It is Japanese TV so this TV show was starring Rosa Kato and Yuma Nakayama. It was very interesting and I thought that Devil in love looked like Twilight. But, I like Twilight very much because Twilight was a powerful movie and there was a great deal of substance in that movie but Devil in love had little substance in that TV drama.

 Second, I thought that Twilight is story full of pure love and suspense. Forbidden love between humans and vampires…It is a forbidden love but the love of fate. I was filled with heartrending sorrow and I healed my heart to love two pure then satisfaction was greater after you have finished watching. I like Kristen Stewart very much. She is a very beautiful woman. I want to watch a sequel to this story so I will go TSUTAYA to rent sequel to this story. Then, I want to know forbidden love at least once and I want to go Twilight's world someday! But it is unreasonable.

 Third, I’m going to collect Twilight series with my younger sister. I forget to say, my younger sister likes Twilight. She said to me, I have never watched of such a story, sister!  I'm writing about The Revealing Story of Underwear. I know under wear then I wanted to know about Underwear's history.

Chapter 1 Why wear underwear?

 I'm writing about Chapter 1 impression. There's more to underwear than frilly lace. It can keep you warm...stop you from getting embarrassed. So, I didn’t know about centuries ago, people didn't wash that often. A long of underclothes kept their outer clothes slightly clearner-though it didn't always disguise the smell of their sweaty bodies blow. Also, underwear can also give a certain shape to clothes. It can help people get the figure they would like. Through history, fashions have changed from wide hips…to flat chests…to pointy breasts.

 Chapter 2 Early underwear

  I’m writing about Chapter 2. First, the story of underwear begins long ago, in the ancient lands of Egypt, Crete and Rome. It was scorching hot in Ancient Egypt. People didn’t need to wear many clothes and no one wore underwear. Even the Pharaoh, the most important man in Egypt, just wore a little skirt with nothing underneath. So, I didn’t know that. Roman fighters wore a loincloth and the odd piece of armour, while mosaics show women exercising in the world’s first bikinis.

 Chapter 3 Knickers and pants.

 I’m writing about Chapter 3. First, Knickers started life in the Middle Ages but only for men. At first they were long, baggy shorts, known as braies or drawers. Men wore them under their tunics. Then my favorite parts 14～15 pages. Rich men owned several pairs of drawers, and they became fancier as expensive fabrics arrived from the East. We need a pair of drawers underneath, men decided, to keep out fancy drawers clean. They renamed the top layer breeches or hose and drawers officially became underwear. Women didn’t wear drawers at all. They simply wore floaty tunics called shifts under their dresses. A stroll in the park could be breezy, but going to the toilet was easy. Some ladies let their shifts peek out at the neck and sleeves. They even added embroidery to make a pretty frill. I want to wear pretty frill someday.

 Chapter 4 Stays and corsets

 I’m writing about Chapter 4. First, I know that corset because when I was high school student, I went to Osaka with my family. So, my cousin married. She wore corsets. Then in the 16^th century, the age of small waists and curvy hips began. To force their figures into this hourglass shape, women needed special underwear. I want to wear corset someday!

 Chapter 5 Petticoats and hoops

 I’m writing about Chapter 5. First, my favorite parts 44～45 pages. In the 1870s, everyone wanted a huge bottom. Crinolines were flattened at the front and sides and the new cage, just at the back, was named a bustle. Meanwhile, designers were finding extra uses for petticoats. Soft fabric, sewn on at the hem could act as duster, keeping the dress clean. And quilted petticoats, stuffed with feathers, were great in cold weather. During the 20^th century, cages and hoops disappeared completely, as women opted for a more natural around… and they’re particularly popular at wedding.

 Chapter 6 Brilliant bras

  I’m writing about Chapter 6. First, women uses bra every day. From then on, bras were big business. Hundreds of new designs flooded the market and today, women are spoilt for choice.

 Chapter 7 Knickers on the line

 I’m writing about Chapter 7. First, my favorite part is 60 pages. Elastic waistbands and straps are much simpler. Now there’s no need for whalebone or steel, since fabrics that contain elastic, such as Lycra, can do all the squeezing you need. And with more electric washing machines in homes since the 1960s, having clean underwear has never been so easy!

 I’m writing about Chapter 4. First, my favorite 28～29 pages. Rapunzel met Prince Hans. He rode around the tower three times, Um, I can’t find the door, he said. There is no door, Rapunzel told him. This is a magic tower. I’m being kept here by a wicked witch. You must climb up my hair. Well, I’ve never done that before, said Prince Hans. This is hander than it looks, you know, he added, as he began to climb. What’s your name? he asked. Rapunzel, she replied. Prince Hans almost fell off her hair, laughing.

 I'm writing about illness. Last Wednesday, I caught a cold. It was very hard and I was absent from school two days. I wanted to go school.

Thursday★
 I'm writing about Thursday. I was absent from school also I had a cough and I was sniveling with cold. I caught a cold from my youngest sister. Then, I drank medicine for cold. But I have a poor appetite and I ate rice porridge and orange a little. I could not feel taste. After that, I slept soundly.

 Friday★
　I woke up 7:00. I had a sore throat and I had a bad headache and I was absent from school again. I din't eat breakfast but I ate lunch a little. Then I drank medicine for cold and drank a lot of liquids. I think that take good care of yourself and A cold may lead to all kinds of diseases.

 Saturday★
 I went to Arao city to tape radio with staffs. It was safe a little but I had not stop cough. I wore a mask. After that, I went to Kura sushi with staffs. It was very good. I ate a custard like dish containing shrimp, tuna, deep fried shrimp and grilled eel. I have enjoyed the dinner very much.
After that, I took a bath and I slept soundly.

　I woke up 12:00. I ate breakfast with my family. I ate thick white noodles and plum pickle. It was very good. After that, I drank medicine a cold and gargle. So, I read a book lying in bed. Today I want to talk about levels of language usage. You probably have noticed that people express similar ideas in different ways, depending on the situation they are in. This is very natural. All languages have two general broad categories, or levels of usage: a formal level and an informal level. English is no exception. I'm not talking about correct and incorrect English. What I'm talking about are two levels of correct English. The difference in these two levels is the situation in which you use a particular level. Formal languages is the kind of languages you find in textbook, reference books such as encyclopedias, and in business letters.

For example, a letter to a university would be in formal style. You would also use formal English in compositions and essays that you write in school. People usually use formal English when they give class room lecture or speech and at ceremony such as graduation. We also tend to use formal languages in conversation with person we don't know well or with people we have a formal relationship with, such as professors, bosses, doctors, friends of our parents, strangers, etc.

 Informal languages is used in conversation with colleagues, family and friends, and when we write personal note or letter to close friends, as well as in diaries, etc. Formal Languages is different from informal language in several ways. However, today I'm going to talk only about a couple of ways. First of all, formal language tend to be more polite. Interestingly, it usually takes more words to be polite. For example, I might say to a friend or family member, Close the door, please, but to a stranger or someone in authority I probably would say Would you mind closing the door? or Excuse me, could you please close the door? Using words like could and would makes my request sound more polite, but also more formal. I want to be polite but not too formal with my friends and family.
